About

Since its inception in September of 1956, Provine High School has been instrumental in producing its share of doctors, lawyers, educators, political leaders, engineers, and a myriad of other professionals. Eighty percent of the 2007 graduating seniors have enrolled in a community college or a university. Those seniors earned thousands of dollars in scholarship money.

In 1992, Provine High School was designated a service-learning school. Since that time, various organizations in the school have participated in innumerable service-learning projects. Some of the projects include collecting and disseminating canned goods to the needy, collecting toiletries and pillows to distribute to the elderly in nursing homes, tutoring and mentoring elementary students at local elementary school, assisting Habitat for Humanity with building houses for the destitute, and participating in Walk-A- Thons. We also have established the Provine Pathfinders-Teen Pregnancy prevention program. The Pathfinders have received nearly $100,000 in grants.

Our mission at Provine High School is to provide a well-rounded educational foundation to enable all students to become service-oriented lifelong learners and positive contributors in an ever-changing society.
